Mickey's is a family-owned ice cream shop in downtown South Lyon.
I had worked there for a little over two summers with my sister and a few friends from school. By working at a popular spot in South Lyon, I created a bond with many customers, allowing myself to truly feel as though I was a part of a community. My basic duties at Mickey's included taking orders, prepping food, and checking inventory.
