 If a customer asked you a question, and you didn't know the answer, what would you do? 

I have actually had a lot of recent experience with this due to working at a new job. Due to the recent implementation of cross-training at Dunham Hills, I have been placed into a handful of tasks where I do not have a lot of expertise. However, if a customer approaches me with a question, I start by telling them that it was a good question and thank them for asking me. I then tell them that I will do my best to find the answer and apologize for not knowing right away. I believe it is important to remain calm and confident in these situations while I go and ask an individual who would have a better understanding while also helping to educate me for the future.

 What three words would you use to describe yourself? Why? 

I would describe myself as outgoing, considerate, and self-disciplined. It has never been a major struggle for me to make friends because I feel comfortable in most social situations. Along with this, I care deeply about the emotions of others and tend to be very aware of body language and how people are feelings. Lastly, I am extremely organized, diligent, and rarely struggle to complete a project on time or often earlier.

 What is your greatest strength? What is your greatest weakness? 

Starting with my greatest weakness, I am definitely a people pleaser. Although this allows me to usually get along well with others, I find myself often putting the needs of others before my own and sometimes making decisions solely based on what other people would think. My great strength, however, is that I am very diligent and organized. I find myself at my best when I am deeply focused on a task and working hard for the best possible outcome.

 What motivates you to do your best? 

My family is the main reason as to why I always strive to do my best. I have always been considered an “overachiever” throughout my years at school and I would often go to my parents with worries about an upcoming grade. Instead of telling me their grade expectations out of me, they would always say, “as long as you know that you did your best, then we’re happy”. This has always stuck with me and given me a sense of pride and integrity with every project and job I complete.

 What was the last gift you gave someone? 

The last gift I gave was for my best friend. I had been looking around Salvation Army that morning and I ran into an oversized, denim, button-up shirt with “MSU 1855” embroidered on the side pocket. There was no special occasion for the gift other than to just let her know that I was thinking of her and to honor her commitment to Michigan State earlier that week.
